Our School Council met the Mayor of Lewisham

Our Year 4 School Council representatives were lucky enough to be invited to visit the Lord Mayor of Lewisham on Friday 28th February.  Sir Steve Bullock gave the children an opportunity to see the Council Chambers and ask him questions about his job.  They learnt about the Lewisham coat of arms and sceptres that he carries at special events.  They also had an opportunity to meet Lewisham’s Deputy Young Mayor and find out how she was elected.  The children were very happy to feedback to the rest of the school at an assembly on  the following Monday.
